DealDroid is small application that continuously watches for new deals on one-deal-at-a-time sites like BonkTown, Brociety, ChainLove, Steep and Cheap, Tramdock, Whiskey Militia, Woot, ThingFling, and SlickDeals. DealDroid runs in the background and produces Android notifications when new items become available.
All hail the Cyanogenmod creator!!!!!!
Good app but needs a serious update. Brociety doesn't even exist anymore.
Great ap... a widget would be slit better then a notification
Needs option to turn off app, to conserve battery
Great for skiseason deals. Uninstalling because you cant disable. Just keeps loading back up.
Uninstalled it. Great potential but again a widget is needed and the ability to turn off auto notifications is a priority. Fix it cuz I want this app!
I like the app but it does suck down the battery, gonna see if i can make it work with ATK
I love these sites, but am uninstalling. Make it a widget, please, with on-demand update? I do like the ability to choose which sites you get info on
Good idea but needs work. A widget would be more than ideal and the option to not have all the notifications on the status bar would be a huge +
Great app! Love it a lot, better then checking the individual sites every few mins. Just adjust the settings If it eats up you battery. Droid Eris
app works great but it drains the battery a lot, even of you have the app set to off. Doesn't appear in task killer either....Droid Eris
Very useful program! The only gripe I have is the led indicator alert doesn't seem to function on droid x
Love the idea just not good enough yet. Ski season is coming!!
Works ok...uses to much battery, but what do u expect. - G1
Works as advertised. Useful for catching deals before they expire. Can't beat the price!
Broken link if you click get it in steepandcheap, using dolphin browser and BB 0.4 ADWLauncher
Prefer just to see a list of latest deals for each deal site. Notifications are annoying. Adopt a shelter pet.
Petty good. A decent amount of bargain site options. Could use more options under the update frequency. Half-day updates would be enough for me.
It's good, could use more configuration options.
Other sites would be nice. In-app display would be nice. Logging would be nice. Still better than all others.
Also wanted to try out Steve's other program after flashing CyanogenMod 5.0.7 and installing the updater. I'm suprised the program runs in background.
Sweet app
Did not work, and i missed a deal i had been waiting for. Droid
Works great! Any chance you could add a schedule so it can be set not to go off all night long?
It would be awesome if it could filter alerts with a keyword, e.g. show only alerts which contain keyword "patagonia"
How would anyone live without this app?
Nice app ... check out www.whattadeal for major savings !!
Good, straightforward woot-checker application. Hope it supports kids.woot.com and Amazon gold box eventually.
I dunno if it drains your battery or your wallet faster... great app, nicely done.
Good.... pls update so that it takes you to the slickdeals MOBILE site, not the standard site.
Does what it says but it sucks battery.
I've been lookin for an app that follows these sites, great job dev! Would like option to open app and see all current deals & force refresh.
I've been lookin for an app that follows these sites, great job dev! Would like option to open app and see current deals too.
Agree that the icons in the dropdown notification window need to be updated for the Droid!
Nice app, but eats batteries.
Good app, but kills the battery and is too slow to catch the best deals on SAC.
Great concept. Needs higher res icons. Near impossible to make out on droid. Also widget or app to browse the current offerings would be nice
Nice app! I like that you can keep track of multiple odat sites. A widget would be nice too.
I agree, icons could be higher res but ppl complaining about too often and too many sites are lazy, settings allow u to choose which sites & how often
App does what it should......works well. Would like to see a scrollable widget. Better notification icons, and avail to turn notification icons off.
Worse deal app I install. There no way to see all deal that are happening by date. Only show deal in the notification bar.
Uses too much resources. Constant updates are annoying.
High res icons would be a plus, otherwise seems to be working good so far
Great app. Please make a scrolling widget and make the notify icons better. It gets annoying because it shows notifies every 10 minutes.
Great app. +1 on the need for high res icons for the droid.
Doesn't work for a wootoff.
Seems to work well. Needs higher resolution notification icons for the Droid.
Works well, does what it's meant to do. But I would like it more if it opened SlickDeals links in mobile mode(haven't used it for much other than SD).
Unbridled consumerism at its finest.
Too verbose...
Would be better if there were more choices and a a configuration for updating time for each alert,
Found it more annoying than helpful. Couldn't figure out how to make it check Woot at 10pm. Not digging this one.
The best out there but sure locks up my phone a lot while it download.
Pretty basic interface, not useful for people who just want to check deals when they get up in the morning
i just use it for woot, but its great!
None of the stuff it alerts about is a bargin in any way! Just bugs you about stuff i can get much cheaper elsewhere.
Pages it links to upload super slow, not enough sites that I care to get deals on.
Terrific app... *if* what's being sold appeals to you.
Excellent app!
New version adds ability to completely disable automatic updates. Next version will have support for manual viewing of items as well.
Good app
Need to be able to turn completly off and on. There are times that i don't want it on.
If i could get product details w/o opening the browser i'd use it more. As it is, it's too slow.
Holy battery eater, Batman. My battery went down quicker than anything ive had before.
Great app... i love being able to get steapandcheep on my phone... thanks so much
Need more update intervals eats battery
Great concept and it works well. I would like to lengthen the time between updates and add a few more sites, esp mobile versions of them.
Love it. 5 stars for an app idea ive never seen before. Only "complaint" is that i wish you could lengthen the amount of time between updates.
This is one of the reasons i got the g1. Perfect for outdoorsy people. WM is amazing. Don't listen to the whiner babies who want geek stuff.
I cant believe i have this app, i always check these sites, app makers like this are why i love android!!! Thank you
Does exactly what it says it does well! A recommendation, when viewing an item if i hit back it would be nice if it went back to what i was doing b4
Too many distractions.
I love this app! Wish you could set it to update right when the website changes so it doesnt have to look every 10 minutes though!
Direct feed from Whiskey millitia thank you!!
Great! Ive been hassling with IM notifications for these sites.. this makes it much easier. Thank you!
Needs better deals. These are lame.
Dont use it much but nice, work will keep it
Awesome! Brociety and whiskeymilitia are two of my favorite sites! Just need to clean up the notification icons a bit.
Great app! But not for couch potatoes. So far i have saved over $200 on high end bike, ski, and camping gear!!! (If you know what your looking for.)
Excellent app! I have these sites open all day on my computer and G1. Now i don't have to refresh all the time on my phone. Love it.
Well written slick app, shame i am not more of an outdoorsman
Good if you're looking for sporting goods, not so much if you're not.
Works but crap not cheap!
Exactly what I've been waiting for yet so dangerous for my financial stability! :o
Sweet now i can get my deals on the go. Also if you could add an option for custom notification sounds it would be great.
What about woot?
More ways to stay informed about deals, nice!
I love it it works amazing my phone always getting updated on snow gear
Great if u could make this site for sneakers and video games. Not only sports equipment
