"Read Phone State" for storing favorites in the server, recover favorites after wipe the phone data.
Great app! No crashes but a little slow when browsing or searching for talks (hence 4/5 stars). Keep up the good work.

Crashes constantly. Nice when it works though.
A nice looking ui doesn't make up for the load times, the fc, and the random bs of trying to make this app work. I'll be watching on youtube.

Want to love it but it's too slow and crashes on my Samsung Vibrant. And too many times "incorrect data file" (i.e. Cannot open files)

Would be nice if I could mark a talk as viewed, and filter the talks on that so I wouldn't have to browse through all the talks to find something new.

Incredibly slow and unresponsive app. Just bringing up the lists of talks takes minutes or hangs, even over wifi. droid 2.2. Great idea.
Tried opening three times, force close three times. I love TED, but app sucks on my incredible.
Ive been a HUGE fan of TED talks, and so excited to see the app, but sadly app is crashing a lot, a lot of video playing choppy... moto droid.
5 stars now that the security permissions are inline. Great, informative app.
Took too long to launch ans swap between tabs. But once all is loaded it looks nice works fine

Broken. Sits on splash screen forever. Was working before the update.

When watching a video it now locks me in to the point that I can't even hit home to get out of it. Won't use this app until that's removed.

Very very slow even on WIFI. Slow startup, slow menus and videos wont even play. Using a Youtube app instead.
Ted is awesome. App is ok, sometimes its better just to YouTube the lecture. I wish speakers were listed alphabetically like web the site. Eris
