The Layar Reality Browser displays real time digital information on top of reality in the camera screen of the mobile phone. While looking through the phone's camera lens, a user can see houses for sale, popular bars and shops, tourist information of the area, play a live game, etcetera.

Good idea but the reality falls a bit short. This really is a data problem.

So very cool. Using this app after reading Daniel Saurez's "Daemon" will scare the crap out of you. Haha. Impressive but few real world uses for it.
Cool gadget, but hard to use in practise. Won't upgrade automatically (major pain).

Wikitude très bien, mais le + de Layar, c'est de pouvoir utiliser des banques de données variées

Amazing technology and well-build, but I doubt the practical usefullness over a simple map view.

Doesn't seem to do much really, even in downtown Chicago. Confusing interface and completely non-intuitive.

Firstly this seems of no use outside the US. And what does this do that maps doesn't? Other then give you a worse way to view POIs?

Slow down throughout the whole application, slows down phone when running in background, need to kill in task manager when im done showing it off.

Camera mode is just weird , n makes it very hard to actually get to where your going , not many results found either
Que evolucione mucho porque en Valencia no tiene ni idea de dónde está el norte, pero la idea está bien, el wikitude va mejor, pero no es mejor.
Google Places Directory is somewhat more practical, the camera mode is daft, not walking around holding my phone in front of my face.

Does what a GPS does but more poorly. I think all the fuss is about seeing stuff through your own camera (at the expense of your battery)...
